Newly appointed Villanova University Assistant Field Hockey Coach, Kelly Driscoll has made a move from North Philadelphia to the Main Line. Driscoll, who coached at Temple University for four years, will now assist with field coaching duties and recruiting for the Wildcats, under the direction of 21-year Villanova Head Coach, Joanie Milhous.
At Temple from 2011-2014, Driscoll was part of a coaching staff that elevated the program to a Top-20 team. She served as an assistant for three years, and Associate Head Coach in 2014. Last season, Temple tallied a 14-7 record, a Top 20 ranking throughout the season and a berth in the Big East Conference championship game.
Driscoll was a standout goalkeeper at Old Dominion University from 2006-09 where she was a two-time first team All-CAA honoree and two-time second team All-Region performer. She was also a member of the USA Outdoor National Team from May 2010-June 2011 and USA Indoor National Team from 2013-14.
At Old Dominion, Driscoll earned a bachelor’s degree in 2010 in criminal justice and sociology and a master’s degree in applied sociology in 2011. She earned a second master’s degree from Temple in liberal arts in 2013.
A native of West Chester, Driscoll played for the Villa Maria Academy Hurricanes (Malvern), where she earned All-State, All-Area, and All-League honors.
